Dew respects your privacy. Dew is designed as a private, on-device wellbeing companion that helps you reflect on everyday rhythms such as mood, sleep, hydration, movement, habits, and personal wellbeing.
This Privacy Policy explains how Dew handles information when you use the Dew iOS application.
Information You Enter Into Dew
Dew may allow you to enter information such as:
- mood and daily check-ins
- sleep information
- hydration information
- movement or activity information
- habits and Daily Care items
- personal goals or focus areas
- reflections or other information you choose to enter
This information is used to provide the features available within Dew, including daily summaries, personalized guidance, habit support, and insights based on the information you have entered.
Local Data Storage
Dew is currently designed to store your wellbeing information locally on your device.
Dew does not require you to create an account, and Dew does not maintain a remote user database containing your personal wellbeing entries.
Because Dew does not maintain a server-side account or remote copy of your entries, we do not have access to your locally stored wellbeing information.
Dew does not currently provide an in-app “delete all data” or reset function.
Information Dew Does Not Collect
The current version of Dew does not:
- require a user account or login
- collect your wellbeing entries on Dew-operated servers
- use advertising
- use third-party tracking technologies
- use third-party analytics services
- use third-party crash-reporting services
- sell personal information
- use your personal information for targeted advertising
Apple Health and HealthKit
The current version of Dew does not access or retrieve information from Apple Health or HealthKit.
Information such as sleep, hydration, movement, and daily check-ins is entered or managed within Dew.
If HealthKit functionality is added in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated before that functionality is released.
Dew Companion
Dew includes companion-style experiences intended to provide supportive, contextual prompts based on information available within the app.
The current version of Dew does not send your wellbeing entries to an external artificial intelligence provider or external AI service.
If Dew later introduces cloud-based AI or another external processing service, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain what information is transmitted, why it is used, and which service providers receive it.
Notifications
Dew may allow you to receive local reminders or notifications.
These notifications are handled through iOS and do not require Dew to maintain a remote user account or server containing your wellbeing information.
You can manage notification permissions through your iPhone settings.
Analytics and Third-Party Tracking
The current version of Dew does not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or behavioral tracking technologies.
Data Sharing
Dew does not sell your personal information.
The current version of Dew does not transmit your personal wellbeing entries to Dew-operated servers or third-party advertising or analytics services.
Data Retention
Because your Dew information is stored locally on your device rather than in a Dew-operated user account, Dew does not maintain a server-side retention period for your wellbeing entries.
Dew does not currently provide an in-app control to erase all locally stored information.
Children's Privacy
Dew does not operate user accounts or remotely collect personal wellbeing entries from users, including children.
The current version of Dew does not use advertising or third-party tracking technologies.
Parents and guardians should decide whether Dew is appropriate for a child based on the child's individual needs and circumstances.
Wellness Disclaimer
Dew is designed for general wellbeing, self-reflection, and everyday habit support.
Dew is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
Information presented by Dew should not be considered medical advice or a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Dew evolves.
If Dew introduces functionality that materially changes how personal information is handled, this policy will be updated accordingly.
The effective date at the top of this page will indicate when the policy was most recently revised.
